Magnificent Music but Dubious Direction in Wagner’s Parsifal at Glyndebourne

Parsifal was Wagner’s last opera and lasts more than five hours. As well as demanding huge stamina from the singers, however, this production gave the audience more problems than usual in following a convoluted plot.
